FAQ

Frequently asked

Is the MISA license still required?

Under the current Investment Law framework, foreign investors register their investment with the Ministry of Investment (MISA) instead of obtaining the former investment licence. Many people still search for a 'MISA license'. We confirm the procedure that applies to your activity and investor type.

Can a foreign company own 100% of a Saudi company?

Many activities allow full foreign ownership, while others have conditions such as Saudi participation, minimum capital or sector approvals, and some activities are excluded. We check your exact activity before you commit.

Does MISA registration complete company formation?

No. After MISA registration you still need commercial registration, articles, Chamber membership and the licences, tax and employer registrations that apply to your activity.

Do I need to be in Saudi Arabia to set up?

Much of the preparation can be coordinated remotely. Some steps, such as signing, bank meetings or biometrics, may need a visit or an authorised representative.
